This consists of six one-day workshops. I start off giving a brief description of exactly what we can do with our voice, which covers everything. I mean you can do wonderful things with the voice. The first workshop is about breathing correctly, relaxing the body, getting confidence in your own voice.

These workshops are a continuing application of repeating basic theories and practising them at home. Each workshop will build up to knowing different techniques which are the rules which will enable you to continue for however long you choose to work with your voice. This is a lifetime commitment if you wish it to be.

I let you know how much I love to sing and how I have spent all my life enjoying it. It is very important to learn to breath correctly from you diaphragm not from your chest. We work with scales this is a task that I'm afraid has to be repeated over and over again.

It sounds boring but it can be fun especially if you use `ee's' `oo's' and `aah's' then go into `ee-or'. There is so many to choose from and over the weeks we use lots.

I like to get you to pick one of your favourite songs and then we play with it singing different dictation, different expressing of the words,using the `pianissmo' and `crescrendo' to enhance the true meaning of the words and to justify the wonderful notes.

I believe you can learn on this course even if you feel you are not a competent singer, because I encourage you to reason with yourself that everybody can learn no matter what age (whose that senior citizen who got her degree at the grand old age of 85yrs).

As each day comes to a end you will be waiting for the next week with baited breath and you will get your homework to focus on during the week. You will be told exactly what we will be doing the following week. There is also time during the day for explanations, discussion on a one to one and a deep understanding of music.
